Via las Palmas

The famous “Swiss Miss” A-frame homes of Palm Springs are somewhat of a mystery and very rare, only 15 in existence. They resemble the chalets of Switzerland but also have the influence of Fiji. This home built in 1958 was completely taken down to the studs and rebuilt. Architect Gina Moffit of Kyohara-Moffit Architects in Los Angeles was the inspiration for the full renovation. Floors and shower walls by Walker-Zanger. Bamboo kitchen cabinets with Caeserstone counters. The residence was fully encapsulated for a complete compound. A glass, walk-in wine room located in the living room, complete media room with retractable screen and a complete treadmill and exercise room overlooking the San Jacinto mountains. The home is fully solar and also installed with a generator to keep the wine in perfect temperature in case of power outages.
